Hello! My name is Kate, and I am here to help you create a pathway towards healing, understanding, and personal growth.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate whose foundation lies in attachment-based therapy, while utilizing therapeutic techniques from a variety of postmodern and experiential approaches, including Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy.
I tailor my approach to each client or couple based on their unique needs and goals, so whether you seek counseling as an individual or part of a couple or family, we will work together to address the issue or problem you bring to therapy in the best way for YOU. I am also pleased to offer spiritual care counseling to those clients who specifically request it (however, it is by no means an obligatory part of therapy and I will only provide it upon individual client request).
A little bit about me: I was born and raised in the great state of Minnesota, where I developed a love of snowshoeing and strong, hot coffee. My partner and I live with our rescue dog, Lucie, and spend most of our free time giving into her constant demands for attention.
